Why It’s Important to Have a Fitness Buddy

Posted In Motivation | No comments

Whether you are looking to lose weight, increase your endurance or gain muscle, having a fitness buddy can be an important component to your success.

Many people today struggle with their weight and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, however if you are someone who already follows a personal fitness plan, you are already ahead of the game. What you may not realize are the many advantages which accompany exercising with a fitness buddy.

Have you ever woke up one morning, dreading the fact that you have to get ready for your usual morning jog? Perhaps you have already made it to the gym, however you do not have the willpower to complete that last set? A person with a fitness buddy would doubtfully experience these types of situations.

Motivation is the desire or willingness of someone to do something. A lot of people aspire to be self motivated, but let’s face it, it can be extremely difficult to learn the self-discipline necessary to stick to any personal fitness plan. Making use of a fitness buddy alleviates this issue by providing you with a friend that is right there with you, working through the burn of an intense workout alongside you. Simply knowing that there will be someone else waking up and expecting you for a morning run is a great motivator.

Personal Trainer Salary

If you’ve ever had an interest in being a personal trainer, then you have probably wondered what a personal trainer salary would look like. Some people are surprised when they see how wide the range can be for a personal trainer salary.

The position of “trainer” can be similar in many ways to a commissioned sales rep. So being a personal trainer who earns a large salary requires a bit of skill in areas that go beyond just being a good trainer.

The personal trainer salary can range between $18,000 to $70,000 per year, according to PayScale, Inc. Again, this wide range may cause some questions to rise in your head.

Being a personal trainer involves not just training clients, but getting clients. The process of getting clients, is basically like sales. As a trainer, it is your job to prospect for new clients, persuade them that personal training will be good for them, and make a good impression and persuade them that you should be the trainer that they work with.

Weight Lifting Straps

If you search on the web, you will see back and forth arguments about the use of weight lifting straps.

Some guys live by them, others say you’re a PUNK if you use them. Both sides have strong arguments. One side says that weight lifting straps help you lift more weight for the muscle group that you are trying to focus on. The other group says that weight lifting straps are like cheating, and are the reason why a lot of weight lifters have weak grip strength.

So if both of these arguments make a good point, then what should you do? Should you use weight lifting straps, or not?

Here is the simplest answer that I could personally come up with…

Work without the straps until you can’t do anymore reps, then put the straps on and finish your set. While this isn’t a law, it is a good idea. I even heard six-time Mr. Olympia Dorian Yates say to use weight lifting straps if you want to work the actual muscle you are trying to work as much as possible.

Weightlifting Workouts & Recovery Time

In the following strength report, we will cover the significance of adding the proper amount of rest and recovery time between your weightlifting workouts, and you will get an idea of what type of results it produced for me.

When I first began working out years ago, like many newbie weightlifters, I got obsessed with spending tons of time in the gym. I would work out for hours, just about everyday.

I read all the bodybuilding magazines with all of the “top secret” weightlifting workouts of the massive bodybuilders, and tried to use similar types of workouts.

What I didn’t know at the time was that the reason they were able to endure such a rigorous workout schedule was because of a certain type of diet and nutrition plan, but also certain types of supplements that I didn’t want to partake in.

As I got older and more experienced, I started experimenting with my body and learned something that I should have learned all along, which is this…

Muscles don’t grow inside they gym, they grow outside of the gym while they are resting.
